God’s Desire to Get Married Motivated Him to Become Incarnated

Genesis

In Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” Thus, when He later considered this first man and observed, “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper as his counterpart” (Genesis 2:18), God was actually expressing His own need and feeling. Here, God reveals His heart’s eternal desire. He was alone, and He longed to have a counterpart that would match Him, as reflected in Adam’s loneliness.
