Scriptures Foretell That God Would Enter the Human Race

The incarnation of Christ was purposed and planned by God before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-4; 1 Peter 1:20). Thus, it is not surprising to find scriptural references which prophesy of His entrance into the human race. A few of these prophecies are presented here.

[Genesis 3:15] A seed would come forth from the woman to bruise the serpent’s head.

[Isaiah 7:14] A virgin would conceive and bear a son whose name is Immanuel—God with us.

[Isaiah 9:6] A child would be born whose name would be called the mighty God, the everlasting Father.

[Micah 5:2] Out of Bethlehem would come forth a ruler in Israel, a man born in time yet existing from eternity past.
