Scriptures Foretell That God Would Enter the Human RaceIsaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and will bear a son, and she will call his name Immanuel. Immanuel (or Emmanuel) means “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). This Scripture in Isaiah, therefore, predicts the coming of God Himself to us through a human virgin—thus the coming of a God-man.
