No Ordinary PersonSecond ManChrist in His incarnation is the Second Man (1 Corinthians 15:47). From Gods point of view there are only two men in the entire universe: the first man, Adam, including all his descendants, and the second man, Christ, comprising all His believers (Lee, Footnotes 752). By natural birth all human beings belong to the first man, Adam, who, though created with the purpose of representing and expressing God, has failed God. However, through regeneration a person can be transferred out of Adam and into Christ to become a part of the second man, the new man, who will fulfill Gods plan. The first man, Adam, failed [God] in His purpose and ruined His design. Instead of creating another man, God Himself came to be the second Man (Lee, Conclusion 288). [Matthew] [Luke] [Fact]
