God Manifested in the Flesh

The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 3:16 that Jesus was “God manifested in the flesh.” He was the complete God, not merely one-third of the Godhead. Colossians 2:9 states that in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Hence, the Word which was with God and which was God became flesh (John 1:1, 14). Though the three of the Godhead—Father, Son, and Spirit—are distinct, they can never be separated, for there is no God but one (1 Corinthians 8:4; Deuteronomy 4:35). Jesus Himself also testified that He and the Father are one (John 10:30). Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 3:17 tells us that “the Lord is the Spirit.” Thus, the entire Triune God—the Father, Son, and Spirit—was incarnated in the person of Jesus Christ.
