God-man

Matthew 1:18 records that Mary was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit. Mary was a typical human being, and the Holy Spirit, of course, is God. Therefore, what was conceived in the womb of Mary had two natures—human and divine. Jesus Christ was thus the first God-man. He was the complete God (Colossians 2:9) as well as the perfect man (1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Peter 2:22), a mingling of God and man.
